916-812-0808 Halfway House / Sober Living
You may live at Freedom Sober Living as long as you are working a good recovery program, abiding by the Rules and Regulations, staying clean and sober, and your rent is paid on time
If you completed a residential substance abuse treatment program at any time you qualify to live in our sober living. And of course you cannot be not be under the influence of any mind altering substance.
At Freedom Sober Living you continue to live a life style incorporating the things you learned in treatment, or are leaning in an outpatient program and working with your sponsor. Sober living homes are also known as a Halfway House or Oxford House.
We help our residents make the transition from living in addiction to a life of recovery. Our home is well maintained and is a drama free zone. At Freedom Sober Living we focus on the total recovery for our residents. They must be free of all mind altering substances. We offer an affordable, safe and sober home for men who are working a 12 Step recovery program. If you have never completed a substance abuse program that is the next step. Then you are ready for a halfway house or a safe sober living home.
To be a successful, responsible, productive member of society it is important for a new comer to interact with other recovery people. Due to the therapeutic value of one recovering person helping another recovering person is one of the fundamental parts of the recovery process. Our experience has shown the success rate for those in recovery being able to live with other successful recovering people is remarkably higher than those who live by themselves. It is best that those in recovery seek a safe, serene and peaceful living environment in which they can take time to work on themselves, attend 12 Step meetings regularly, and become self-supporting.
Freedom Sober Living provides a safe and sober living home where our residents live, work and play without the pressures of drugs or alcohol, and where you find life-long friendships.
Thank you for everything. I had a year on the 2nd.

Hi thanks again for everything. I have to admit i miss it there. Sucks to come home to an empty apartment. And if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask.

Best place of its kind in the Sacramento area! CLEAN, drama-free, FANTASTIC OWNERS, outstanding location, and GREAT AMENITIES - fully furnished kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms, high-speed internet, in-room cable TV, etc. I've lived in a few others and this place has actually changed my perception of what an SLE can be!
I stayed at their Fair Oaks location for over 4 years and would still be there if it weren't for some work relocation issues. All bedrooms are single occupancy, and not shared like most SLE's! Multiple bathrooms throughout, so you only have to share with one other person - also much better than other places, where you're sharing a bathroom with 4-5 other people and a bedroom with as many as the owner can stuff into a 10'x10' room.
House is big, so even though you're sharing with a few other housemates, it never felt crowded or overstuffed. Never had a problem with noise coming from other bedrooms, or with privacy as a whole. Place was completely devoid of drama, which is hard to find in any communal living situation. Nice front yard, and a HUGE backyard, nicely landscaped with trees and shrubs for privacy.
Owners are awesome! They actually care about their residents and it shows! The few maintenance issues were always handled immediately and effectively. The sobriety of people living there is highly respected, and if someone is no longer sober, things are taken care of quickly and professionally.
Outstanding location in Fair Oaks! Quiet, suburban neighborhood - close to shopping, bus lines (I was without a car for awhile, so being close to a bus line was good), grocery stores, and a huge range of recovery meetings close by. Bordered by Roseville, Folsom, Rancho, and Citrus Heights for when I wanted to get out and about.
Highly suggested for anyone looking for a fresh start, continuing a journey in recovery, or just looking for a place to live that isn't filled with drinking or drugs.

This place saved my life, i lived there for almost 3 years. I had my own room plus lived with 5 other guys in recovery. Seemed like the owners were always doing something to the houses when i lived there. So if you want to be in a safe place this is it.

My nephew has lived in one of their homes for a few years, he is doing the best he has done in a decade. I have referred several family members here. If you are looking for a safe place I would say call these people. he lived other places but this one works for him.

Great single room accommodations at an affordable monthly rate. I lived there for nearly 2 years and it's been a great tool in my recovery. Definitely a fantastic less restrictive and private sober living facility. I recommend for any and all who are in a recovery program. Don't bother if you're not sober and clean, as many of residents at freedom sober living have long term sobriety and want the same for you!

Hi! I regret to inform you that February of 2012, will be my last month at FSL. I will be moving to be closer to my son, school and work. I have enjoyed living at Freedom Sober Living and wish that I didn't have to move but finances and the limited amount of hours in the day, are making it a necessity. Thank you so much for being such an integrel part of laying a solid foundation for my recovery. I will miss everyone, especially my room! The home was lovely and I will never forget all you have done for me. I hope to continue my recovery and in building my life for my son and I. I definitely will be comforted knowing that if, for whatever reason, I needed to return to sober living, that Freedom Sober Living will be there. Thank you again!

I just wanted to inform you that while I have loved and appreciated living here I am looking to move out. I need to find a place where I will be easily able to commute to CSUS. Thank you so much for everything!

This is a great beginning to a solution for addressing the real problems of addiction. Detoxifying from alcohol and other drugs is a very important and serious issue that people with addiction problems face. At Detox they have a competent staff on site 24/7 that understand the physical and psychological problems that face those who want help with their addiction problems. I can say this because this is where I, myself, began to seek help with my own personal addiction problems. I am now back in the work force and a productive member of society thanks to Detox and Freedom Sober Living that they provide as a source for learning how to live life on lifes terms clean and sober.
I would highly recommend Freedom Sober Living to anyone who honestly seeks help with their addiction problems. It works if you want it. Today I have 335 days clean and sober and going strong thanks to Freedom Sober Living. AMEN Thanks again.
