Sober Living Rules and Regulations for Freedom Sober Living

It can be tempting to see rules as restrictive but you will find they benefit your personal growth

Rules and Regulations 

You are living in a sober living (halfway house) program, if you violate these rules of the program you will be terminated. Termination means you must immediately vacate the property and remove all of your belongings. Tenant is to abide by the following in addition to the entire contract;

  1. Tenant agrees not to use or consume; any mind altering substance, alcohol, medication, or drugs. If you do your contract is terminated for the protection of other tenants and the environment. Tenant agrees to submit to urine or saliva test upon request. You must notify your Landlord of all prescription medications you take and they must be secured in your room (and may not be narcotic),
  2. Tenant agrees to pay financial responsibilities (rent and house dues) promptly when due,
  3. Tenant agrees to not participate in any acts of; discrimination, threats, violence, crimes, or sexual relationship with other tenants. And understands any of these acts are grounds for immediate termination. Tenant understands and agrees that if tenant does not leave immediately as agreed to in contract, removal may be enforced by local law enforcement officials,
  4. Tenant must be employed, have a sponsor and work a 12 Step program,
  5. Tenants are expected to participate in household chores,
  6. All electronics; TV, games, radios, etc. are to be kept at moderate volume,
  7. You are required to attend a house meeting at 6pm the first Sunday of each month,
  8. After 30 days tenant is allowed to be gone two nights per a seven day period not to exceed 2 nights in a row and allowed an overnight guest a maximum of two (2) nights per a seven day period; guest must sleep in tenants’ room,
  9. After 30 days you may have a guest. Guest must; be supervised by invitee, have a minimum of one week of sobriety, abide by these rules, stay for no longer than 3 hours a day not to exceed 3 days in a row. No guests after 10:00PM,
  10. No sleeping in the common areas of the house,
  11. Curfew is 11pm Sunday through Thursday, and midnight Friday and Saturday,
  12. Tenants must keep their personal items in their own bedroom. Landlord is not responsible for lost or stolen items,
  13. All Rules & Regulations are to be carried out by all tenants and their guests.
